Land of Enchantment Miniature Horse Club News:
Plans are coming along for this year’s Spring Fiesta Miniature Horse show.
Ribbons for the show have been ordered. Final details for the show premium are being worked on. We are working on ideas for decorating the hospitality area. Random awards are being put together also.
We are collecting sponsorships for the classes at the Spring Fiesta show. As a club member, if you put your name on the form that a sponsor sends in, you will get credit for that sponsorship. This means that you will get a 20% payback of that money after the show.--Let’s get those sponsorships sent in!
At the March club meeting we heard a report from this year’s AMHA convention that took place in Louisville, KY. Several of the proposed rule changes were voted down, including the change to the halter class ring pattern. The YOTE-Youth Owned Trained Exhibited classes got voted in, but are put on hold. They do not want to add any more classes right now.
Our next club meeting is going to be on Saturday, April 3rd, 1:00 PM at Winona’s place in Los Lunas. The club trailer will be available so we can check out the condition of the obstacles. The meeting will also include a pot luck, so please bring a dish to pass. We will be continuing our $10 or less swap table at this meeting, so look for items to bring! See you there, Lisa Welter
