Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that the LEMHC has been working with the Valencia County Fair management to bring you a new show on August 29th! As we are just starting out this will be an exhibition show that will follow AMHA guidelines.

The show will start at 6pm on Saturday August 29th (exhibitors are asked to be there at 5pm to do entries). There will be an abbreviated class list of 20-25 classes for the youth and open divisions. We will have halter, showmanship, obstacles, hunter, the three driving divisions, versatility, reinsmanship, costume, and possibly liberty.

We will also be using club obstacles and jumps, so this is a great opportunity to get out and practice in front of a crowd! There will be a $40 per horse flat fee to show, meaning that for $40 you can show that horse in any class you like. Please check back soon for more info.

Valencia County Fair 2009
Miniature Horse Show


Saturday August 29, 2009. Office will open at 5:00 PM and the show will start at 6:00 PM. The office will close for entries and changes at 8:00PM on the day of the show. The Show will be held at the Valencia County Horseman Arena across from The Wal-Mart in Belen. One entry form per animal. If the exhibitor enters the arena with the incorrect number that exhibitor will be disqualified from that class.

Rules:
1. Entry form must be completed and submitted to fair officials in order to participate in show.
2. No Dogs allowed on fair grounds except those designated as Handicap Assistant animals.
3. All decisions of the show management are final.
4. Ribbons will be awarded for 1st through 6th place.
5. Management reserves the right to combine or cancel any classes at their discretion.
6. Show Management reserves the right to refuse entry or dismiss any animal or person from the arena or fair grounds.
7. Timed event riders must start and finish with a closed gate. NO RUN INS ALLOWED.
8. A 2 Minute gate will be enforced unless office/gate official is advised of a tack change.
9. Exhibitor entering the arena with the incorrect number will be disqualified from that class.
10. Unruly animals will be dismissed from grounds/class at the show management/judges discretion.
11. Anyone who desires to file a complaint must do so on the day of the show with a $100.00 cash filing fee.
13. Driving classes are for and designated for singles not pairs.
14. Headers must be 13 and older.
15. No Cross entries allowed in Country Pleasure & Single Pleasure.
15. 2 Handlers 18 years and older will be required for Stallions
16. Youth 13 & under driving must be accompanied in the class by a adult 21 years or older.
17. Office will close for entries/changes at 8:00 PM on day of the show.
18. Cart/In Harness classes cannot lope 1st time 30 second penalty 2nd time disqualification.
19. Class 20 is for fun only. Audience will choose winner and will receive special award.

In case of injury, I hereby give my permission for emergency medical treatment. I/We understand that the exhibitor is participating at his/her own risk and accept full responsibility.
